Consulting Services From Leader to Leadership® Learning and Development Programs Speaking Engagements

Workshop Description

Most organizations do not have a Leader Strategy. They spend millions each year both developing and buying their leadership capability without an understanding of what leadership capabilities contribute to their differentiation, how their leaders impact organizational performance and results, or how to identify and develop the leaders they need to take them into the future. Very few organizations begin with a Leader Strategy; rather they implement what they have always done or follow the "best practices" advice of the business press. This Workshop will challenge participants to identify their organization's leadership needs, draft an outline of a Leader Strategy for their organization, and then develop an implementation and change plan.

Workshop Objectives

As a result of this Workshop, participants will be able to:
  1. Outline Leader Strategy requirements for their organization that are aligned and integrated with their organization's business strategy
  2. Describe the components of Executive Talent Management(ETM), assess their current ETM performance, and begin to integrate these components with their Leader Strategy
  3. Draft a Leader Strategy for their organizations including the long-term and short-term benefits.
  4. Define how the organization's values, cultural norms, and executive performance expectations impact a successful Leader Strategy implementation
  5. Outline the required next steps, identify potential risk areas, and develop a plan to promote and implement their recommendations.
Workshop Design and Content

This Workshop is about learning the process for building and implementing a Leader Strategy. Participants will learn how to identify what their organization needs and to leverage the appropriate best practices being used in the leader and leadership development arenas.

All of the following topics have multiple components and activities. A Leader Strategy is developed throughout the Workshop, either individually or by the team.
